For my third year of animation, I was tasked with producing a short film alongside my partner, Kyra Toomey. "At Odds" is the result of our collaboration, and is comprised of four skits—cut down from our outline of six for the sake of quality over quantity—that feature a leprechaun and fairy engaged in various conflicts. The skits were created as independent episodes, so they can be viewed in any order!

 

In regards to our division of labour, both Kyra and I took on two skits each: preparing our own props, leicas, animatics, animations, lighting, rendering and compositing. I modeled the fairy character—which you can see here—and Kyra developed the leprechaun, but we worked together to come up with story ideas, character designs, storyboards, and environmental models (trees, bushes, plants, mushrooms, etc.).

 

We both got jobs and graduated before finishing the skits! It will probably never be finished, but you never know and I think its cool to keep anyways.
